Stretch and relax (seated)

A gentle, chair-based class to support people living with fatigue or reduced mobility

This weekly online session offers a calm and supportive space to gently move your body from the comfort of a chair. Led by experienced yoga instructor Bronwen Wright, the class is designed for people who may be feeling low in energy, recovering from treatment, or finding standing movement difficult.

You’ll be guided through simple, slow movements to help improve flexibility, ease stiffness, and support your overall wellbeing. The session also includes breathing and relaxation to help you feel more relaxed.

All movements can be adapted to suit how you’re feeling on the day, and you’re always encouraged to go at your own pace.

You will need:

  • a chair without wheels – ideally a chair without arms (makes it easier for some of the movements) – but not essential
  • Space to extend your arms to the side, in front of your body and upwards
  • Feet need to land on the floor comfortably – could use a prop to place feet on as long as it’s stable.
  • A blanket / warm jumper to hand for the end of the session when we are still and relaxing, so that you don’t get cold
