Our experienced Wellbeing team will offer personalised support and advice about which of our services can best support your physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing, before, during and after cancer treatment. We will help signpost and direct you to other organisations that can also support these needs.
These appointments are particularly suited to those who:
- Are new to Penny Brohn UK and are unsure where to start or how our services can help you, regardless of where you are with your diagnosis or treatment
- Have completed the Welcome to Penny Brohn UK session and would benefit from guidance about what to do next that would best support you
- Are helping support a loved one with cancer and you are both feeling unsure where to start
All appointments are offered via Zoom, phone or in person if you live close to our centre in Bristol.

Personal planning is a new service that offers one-to-one, 30 – 45 minute sessions with someone from the Services team, to help you navigate the services offered at Penny Brohn UK (PBUK) and find which services are right for you.
Depending on what would support you best, we offer one to three personal planning sessions over a few months.
To book any of our services, you first need to register with us online. Once registered, you can contact our friendly Client Support team by emailing clientsupport@pennybrohn.org.uk or by calling on 0303 300 0118 to ask them to arrange an appointment for you (if you need help registering call Client Support and they can help you with this).
Client Support will then agree an appointment date/time with you and book this for you. You will then receive a booking confirmation e-mail with Zoom/telephone/in-person details. You will also receive reminder emails and texts in the week leading up to the appointment.
At Penny Brohn UK we offer a wide range of services, and it can sometimes be hard to know where to start. The Personal Planning sessions are for people who are new to the charity and and would like to understand more about the support we offer and what would be most helpful for their particular situation. They are available to any adult with any type of cancer before, during and after treatment and beyond.
A supportive conversation to explore your current main concerns and how PBUK might be able to help you with your wellbeing and resilience. These could be connected to your emotional, physical, mental or social wellbeing.
Yes. Personal planning is open to anyone who’s already joined a Welcome session (as well as those who haven’t).
These sessions are usually delivered online (on Zoom), but they could be over the phone or possibly in-person depending on your preference. If you would like your session in-person, you would have to be able to travel to the PBUK National Centre in Pill.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact the Client Support team on clientsupport@pennybrohn.org.uk or 0303 300 0118 and they can cancel and/or rebook the appointment for you. Please give as much notice as possible as we may be able to offer this appointment to someone else.
The appointments will be with a member of the Services team. We will endeavour to book all your sessions with the same person if this is possible with time and availability.
We believe that everybody should have access to the support they need to live life as fully as possible with cancer. All our services are free for anyone with cancer and their loved ones. As a charity we rely on the generosity of our clients to support our work and simply ask people to contribute what they can, if and when they can. Please click here to donate if you wish to.
