Connect / Advanced Connect
Talking about what you are going through with other people in a similar situation can help you to feel less alone, see things from a different perspective and feel better able to cope with the challenges of living with and beyond cancer.
These sessions are a chance for you to get to know other people who are going through this experience too and have an honest conversation about what that is like for each of you. A member of Penny Brohn UK’s counselling team will be on hand to support the group and share information when needed.
Who is it for?
This group is for people who are living with a cancer diagnosis. We have two regular groups that alternate and meet fortnightly.
Connect is mainly for people with a primary/curable cancer prognosis.
Advanced Connect is for people with a secondary/incurable cancer prognosis. Please choose the group you would feel most comfortable in.
It is a drop-in group and therefore you do not need to attend every session, but it is likely you will get more out of the group if you attend sessions regularly and get to know each other well. You will need to book every session you wish to attend.
If you have any questions, please email us at supportgroups@pennybrohn.org.uk.
