Wellbeing and creativity workshops
This is a free art course at our centre in Pill, near Bristol. It is provided by SGS College aimed at providing a creative outlet for people who may be going through a difficult period and looking for a way to cope with this through art.
You’ll be experimenting with different art techniques in a relaxed environment to learn and explore with guidance from your teacher to support in the creative process.
Art Therapy is a helpful tool to make sense of the world around us.
Projects include using a variety of art resources, pencils, pastels, inks, paints, coloured papers for college and printmaking. Developing different techniques and approaches to create personal stories and develop a creative language through exploration and interpretation.
All abilities welcome. Everyone has a story to tell that’s unique to them and these workshops are designed for individuals to explore different techniques in drawing and painting to express themselves.
In addition to the workshops, attendees are encouraged to create a visual diary or a journal as a way of processing thoughts and ideas. This is optional.
