Due to the logistics of liaising with not only the balloon team, but also the lighting artists and event volunteers, we have made the decision to now cancel this event. We will be in touch with you all very soon regarding your tickets and refund process.***

What are model hot air balloons?
Model balloons are scaled-down replicas of hot air balloons, meticulously crafted and flown by skilled enthusiasts. These miniature versions capture the design and spirit of full-sized balloons and offer a unique spectacle.

Leaf Glow
Spectroscope, the Bristol based art collective, have created a new light installation, “Leaf Glow”, to be exclusively unveiled at the Twilight Balloon Glow!
Inspired by the healing plants in the Centre’s gardens, the artwork illuminates Ham Green House in autumnal hues, blending images of gingko leaves with cellular patterns of plants like rosemary, aloe vera, and mint. The name “Leaf Glow” also refers to solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF), a process related to photosynthesis and studied in climate change research.
Spectroscope collaborates with artists with intersectional health conditions and partners supporting them. We share Penny Brohn UK’s mission to help people with cancer manage their health and wellbeing, addressing the social and emotional isolation they often experience and empowering them to live as well as possible.
Inclement Weather Plan
The Twilight Balloon Glow is an outdoor autumn event that requires dry, calm weather for a safe and enjoyable experience. The health and safety of our visitors and staff are our top priorities, and the Twilight Balloon team will monitor weather conditions daily. If conditions pose a risk, we may need to cancel the event for that evening.
In the event of a cancellation due to adverse weather, we will notify all ticket holders via email and announce it on our social media and website. We recommend checking for updates before traveling.
All funds raised through this event will directly support those facing cancer across the UK.
FAQs
If the light up the night event is cancelled and ticket holders are not able to attend an alternative night, then a refund will be considered. We can also offer tickets for the following year.
All visitors are reminded that this is an outdoor event with limited indoor areas and the weather may be inclement. Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear for autumn.
Dogs are welcome at the event. However, due to the busy environment, we ask that you keep them on a leash and clean up after them. Please be aware that some dogs may be frightened by the hot air balloons.
Onsite parking is now fully booked. Additional parking is nearby at Hart Close and Pill Business Park.
Accessible spaces are available for Blue Badge holders.
This is a ticketed event, and once tickets are sold out, no more will be available.
Yes, toilets, including disabled facilities, will be available at the event.
The trail includes a mix of accessible hardstanding stone and tarmac footpaths. Due to the natural landscape the trail does include some gradual slopes and paths can be uneven in places. Wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs can be used, however discretion is needed as the trail may not be suitable for all. Wherever possible stewards will assist but this cannot be guaranteed.
Fold-up chairs, blankets, and similar items are permitted on-site for your comfort.
Warm food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the evening, offering a variety of options to enjoy during the event.
In some areas the lighting will be low level as this is part of the experience. We do encourage visitors to bring along a torch.
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred.
