24 Peaks Challenge
The 24 Peaks Trek takes us to the top of some of the Lake District’s highest peaks in one weekend of adventure!
Location: Starting from Bowfell on Day One, Red Screes on Day Two
Trekking distance: approx 28 miles
Cost: Various funding options available (see below)
We’ll be trekking for 12 hours each day, covering around 28 miles over the weekend – with around 12,500ft of total ascent, the 24 Peaks challenge is one of the UK’s most demanding adventures.
The Lake District is one of the most beautiful areas in the UK, filled with breathtaking mountain views and valleys – it is the perfect backdrop to this awesome challenge. The days will be long and the trekking really tough, but the rewards of hiking into the heart of this amazing National Park and the accomplishment of conquering 24 peaks will make your efforts worthwhile.
Funding Options
Minimum sponsorship
You pay a registration fee, and we cover the balance of your trip from your sponsorship raised.
Registration fee: £95
Minimum sponsorship required: £870
Self-funded
You pay a registration fee when signing up, and agree to cover the balance of your trip cost.
Registration fee: £95
Your payment towards challenge costs: £435
Sponsorship pledge: No set target, we just ask that you raise as much as you can.
Global Adventure Challenges advice is that you need to have a reasonable level of fitness in order to take part, but you do not need to be ‘super fit’ or a professional athlete! It is suggested that you slowly build up your fitness levels in the lead up to your challenge.
How we’ll support you
Our Fundraising Team will support you all the way, from your initial welcome pack through to congratulating you on your achievement. We will send you a Penny Brohn UK t-shirt to wear on the challenge along with regular training and fundraising updates to make sure you have the best experience.
