This is such an easy and fun recipe – it can be adapted to include any toppings you like. It can also be great for gifts!

Did you know – Aztecs used cacao as currency because it was so prized.

Nutritional fact – chocolate is high in antioxidants called polyphenols and is a good source of magnesium.

Chocolate bark

Prep Time 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Good quality bar of 70+/85 chocolate
  • Rind of one orange
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Half tsp Nutmeg
  • Handful shredded coconut
  • Handful Cranberries
  • Pinch Chilli optional

Instructions

  • Melt the chocolate in a basin over hot water with the rind of orange, cinnamon, nutmeg, shredded coconut, cranberries, and optional pinch of chilli.
  • Pour the chocolate mixture onto parchment/baking paper on a flat tin in an oblong shape.
  • Toppings can now be added. Our suggested toppings are: cacao nibs, whole white almonds, edible rice paper flowers, crystalized ginger nibs, and pumpkin seeds
  • Allow to cool in fridge for a good few hours.
  • Snap and enjoy!
