5 ways you can support Penny Brohn UK this Winter

The clocks have fallen back, the pumpkins the darker nights are drawing in, but we’ve got so much to look forward to as we head towards the festive season.

From decorating competitions and festive knits, to visiting Penny Brohn UK in-person, we’ve got something for the whole family to get involved in.

Let’s make a difference together this Winter!

1. Deck your Desk

Throughout December why not get your colleagues into the Christmas spirit by taking part in a ‘Deck your Desk’ challenge!

All you need to do is decorate your work desk or home office and try to out-decorate everyone taking part!

Visit our website to download our helpful guide for more hints and tips on how to get started with your ‘Deck Your Desk’ challenge today!

Alternate challenge: want to take part at home? Why not try ‘Deck your Door’. Everyone choose a door in the house, could be your favourite room or your bedroom door and wrap it up into a sensationally seasonal scene!

2. Join in with our Reindeer Trail!

Save the date: Sunday 1st December

Santa’s mischievous reindeer have escaped from the North Pole and are causing chaos in the Penny Brohn UK garden! With Christmas just around the corner, we need your help to track them down and get them back to Santa so they can pull his sleigh and deliver presents to all the children.

With special treats, Christmas surprises and festive fun en route, this family focused event will kick start your Christmas celebrations.

3. Enjoy a magical night of music

Save the date: Friday 6th December

Join us on Friday 6th December from 6-9pm at Clifton College Chapel, with the evening hosted by BBC Radio Bristol’s very own Ali Vowles and Laura Rawlings.

With special performances from talented local choirs and musicians including the Bristol Male Voice Choir, Redmaids Community Choir, Cathedral Primary School, Clifton College Brass Ensemble and NEW for 2024 – Riff Raff Choir.

There will be plenty of opportunity to join in with well-known Christmas carols and tunes along the way – so make sure to get those singing voices prepared!

4. Get some Christmas shopping done

Save the date: Saturday 7th December

Back for 2024, get your Christmas shopping finished (or started) at our Festive Market!

On the day we will have a number of stalls selling their Christmassy crafts, as well as lots of festive activities including;

  • children’s crafts
  • live music and entertainment
  • festive refreshments – think mince pies and mulled wine
  • there may even be a visit from a certain man in a red suit….

5. Don your festive woolies!

Save the date: Thursday 12th December is Christmas Jumper Day!

Get your family and friends to take part in wearing a Christmas jumper for the day in December!

It couldn’t be easier:

📅 Choose a date
💰 Have participants donate £2
📷 Don your jumpers and take plenty of photos!
