  1. I will be forever grateful to Penny Brohn UK for the life changing impact that your residential retreats have made to me. Thank you to all the staff and supporters of Penny Brohn UK who have made this possible over the years. The sense of peace that I experienced in the gardens at Penny Brohn and the feeling of hope that I gained as a result of the retreats was life changing.

  2. Thank you to the Penny Brohn UK team. I felt so much better in the dark days after my ‘incurable’ diagnosis last year, to find somewhere that helps with other aspects of life with cancer, alongside the medical pathway. I’m pleased to be still here, enjoying life and keeping as well as possible. I did the Treatment Support Programme, some online Qi Gong and relaxation, and am in the midst of ‘scar care’.

  3. When I was diagnosed with cancer in 2023, for the 2nd time in 2yrs, I felt lost, isolated and angry. I had no idea how I would manage. The Penny Brohn UK team helped me navigate those early emotions, they gave me a safe place to be, access to clear information and opened my eyes to selfcare and the power of hope. Since I found the Penny Brohn UK team I haven’t felt alone. The Treatment Support Programme was so useful in helping me focus on things that could help me on a day-to-day basis and the opportunity to meet other people going through treatment. It gave me a safe place to ask questions and feel more in control of my treatment. I attended the Wellbeing Day which was so full of joy and positive experiences I left feeling renewed. Since then, I’ve accessed the hypnotherapy sessions and also the online recipes.. it’s been wonderful to have all of these resources online, at the touch of a button just when I need them. Thank you so much for all you do! Everyone I have met really demonstrates they have such a strong commitment to making the journey of a person with cancer as manageable and positive as possible.

  7. I was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma in early 2023. What followed was a difficult and partially successful treatment, and protracted periods of illness. I experienced complicated feelings of optimism and pessimism, hope and gratitude, feeling sometimes philosophical and sometimes sorry-for-myself. I’m now stable, though not in remission so the journey continues. I feel lucky to have had the love of family and friends, and most importantly additional and specialist support from Penny Brohn UK nutritionists, medics and an online support group. Not sure I’d have coped without. Thanks you to you all, including back room staff and volunteers who I’m sure keep the wheels turning. Alan, Gloucestershire

  8. The staff at Penny Brohn UK were so caring and wonderful to my sister Karin who sadly passed away in December 2015, victim of ovarian cancer. PBUK’s programme and support were very important at the time so she could live better with cancer in the time she had left. Since then, I have done my best to make a regular small contribution to PBUK so that their amazing work can continue. I wish I could do more to support your work and wish you all you hard workers at PBUK best of luck in your important mission.

  9. I would like to praise the lovely staff at your charity shop on Queen’s Road especially Lou, Leah and Beth. I have been offloading a trolly full of donations, plus, sometimes a rucksack, almost weekly. They reassure me that all will be used and are always very appreciative and helpful when there is a struggle getting my bags out of the trolly. As I have said to Lou, it is so nice to feel that anything I give may help those undergoing such a horrible often frightening time in their lives.
