This is a great way of making seeds a bit more interesting and creates a deliciously satisfying snack for something different. Not suitable for freezing.

Did you know – you can try adding a combination of nuts too, and toasted coriander seeds also make a nice addition.

Nutritional fact – pumpkin seeds are a good source of omega 3 and sunflower seeds for omega 6.

Crunchy seeds

This is a great way of making seeds a bit more interesting and creates a deliciously satisfying snack for something different.

Equipment

  • 1 baking sheet
  • Oven at 150C

Ingredients

  • 50 g each of raw pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds
  • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp tamari
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Pre the heat oven to 150°c.
  • Combine seeds in a bowl.
  • Stir in olive oil and tamari to coat thoroughly.
  • Spread seed mix on a baking tray to form a single layer.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, taking care not to burn then remove from the oven to cool.

Notes

 Try not to eat them all at once!
